Europe´s leading printer and device manufactures want more recycled paper

Berlin, September 2015

The 16 leading printer and device manufacturers at the European level have made commitments towards the EU Commission on various energy and climate measures. The EU Commission confirmed the implementation of this voluntary commitment in June 2015. The companies commit themselves, among other things, to inform their customers immediately about the use of recycled paper in their devices.

With this measure, the ecological savings of recycled paper could be better exploited in Europe. At the same time the printing and device manufacturers underline the relevance of recycled paper for the climate and resource protection as well as the high quality of modern recycled paper. The signatories of the agreement are, Brother, Canon, Dell, Epson, HP, Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Lexmark, Muratec, OKI, Panasonic, Ricoh, Samsung, Sharp, Toshiba and Xerox.
